- If Typhoon Signal No.8 or above / Black Rainstorm Warning / “Extreme Condition” announcement* is issued before the LRC opens, the LRC will remain closed.
- If Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted when the LRC is open, the LRC will remain open.
- If Pre-No.8 Special Announcement is issued when the LRC is open, the LRC will be closed within two hours after the announcement.
- If Typhoon Signal No.8 or above / Black Rainstorm Warning / “Extreme Condition” is lowered within the opening hours of the LRC, the following arrangement will be effective:

* When a typhoon causes severe problems such as public transport breakdown, widespread flooding, major landslides or massive power outage, the Government will announce that “Extreme Conditions” are in effect.
